Graduation Celebration at BAUN Faculty of Science and Letters
The 2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Science and Letters at Balıkesir University was held on 1 July 2026 with the enthusiastic participation of graduating students and their families.
The ceremony took place at the Şehit Fethi Sekin Conference Hall of the Atatürk Congress and Culture Center and was attended by the Rector of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu; Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl; members of the University Senate; Özgür Özgüç, Regional Director of the Northwestern Anatolia Regional Directorate of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA); as well as academic and administrative staff, students, and their families.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence followed by the Turkish National Anthem. On behalf of the graduating class, the valedictorian delivered a speech, sharing heartfelt reflections and experiences.
In his address, the Dean of theFaculty of Science and Letters, Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Şahin, congratulated the graduates and wished them every success in their future professional careers.
Following the speeches, certificates of achievement and plaques were presented to the top-ranking students, while all graduating students received their graduation certificates. The ceremony concluded with the traditional cap toss, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the graduates' lives.
