Orientation Program for First-Year Students
An orientation program was organized for first-year students newly joining the Faculty of Science and Letters at Balıkesir University to support their adaptation to university and faculty life.
As part of the program, the Library and Documentation Department provided students with information on library use, access to print and electronic information resources, and the research opportunities offered by our university. The Department of Health, Culture and Sports introduced the social, cultural, and sports services available to students, student clubs, and opportunities for active participation in university life.

The orientation program also included information on educational processes, academic advising, the Student Information System, exchange programs, scientific research and student projects, career planning, social and cultural activities, and support services available to students.
As part of the program, students were also informed about financial and digital security, including the safe use of bank accounts, IBANs, debit and credit cards, and digital wallets. In addition, awareness was raised about combating online betting, games of chance, and gambling, with students receiving information about potential risks they may encounter and safe digital practices.
