Internship dates are announced annually on the department's website. Please check your department's website to learn about the dates.

1- Compulsory Internship: This is an internship specified as a course in the curriculum of the student's registered department and must be successfully completed for graduation. In departments with a compulsory internship, the internship period is 30 working days. The internship must be related to the field of study of the student's department. Students are required to complete and successfully complete their compulsory internship during the summer holidays, determined by the departments in collaboration with the Dean's Office, starting at the end of the 6th semester of their academic program. The internship period must be completed in one go and at the same workplace. Internships cannot be performed on official holidays or during academic periods. Students taking Summer School courses cannot perform internships during Summer School courses. Compulsory internships are conducted in accordance with the Balıkesir University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Internship Directive.

2- Optional Internship: This is an internship that is not specified as a course in the curriculum of the student's registered department and is not mandatory for graduation. The internship duration for optional internships is 20 working days. The internship must be related to the field of study of the student's department. Students may complete their optional internships during the summer holidays, starting at the end of the 6th semester of their academic program, during internship periods determined by the departments in conjunction with the Dean's Office. Internships cannot be conducted on official holidays or during academic periods. Students taking courses in Summer School cannot perform internships during Summer School courses. Optional internships are conducted in accordance with the Balıkesir University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Internship Directive.

3- Internships to be completed within the scope of the Career Gate National Internship Program: This is an optional internship, not mandatory for graduation, for students who have registered for the CBİKO Career Gate National Internship Program and whose internships have been accepted. The internship duration is 20 working days.
