Make-up Exams (for those who cannot attend midterm exams due to an excuse)
Pursuant to the following article of the BALIKESİR UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE EDUCATION AND EXAM REGULATIONS, titled "Make-up Exams and Single-Course Exams":
ARTICLE 24- (1) For students who cannot attend midterm exams and other assessment activities due to justified and valid reasons (health, natural disasters, death, serious illness of relatives, overlapping exams for students pursuing a double major, and other matters to be considered by the relevant administrative board), make-up exams will be administered upon the decision of the relevant administrative board. To have an excuse accepted, an application must be submitted to the relevant dean's office/directorate within one week of the end of the relevant exam schedule, along with documentation proving the justified and valid reasons. Students who cannot take the make-up exams on the specified date for any reason will not be given a make-up exam.
(2) Make-up exams will be administered on the dates determined by the relevant administrative board.
Make-Up Exam Dates:
* Make-up exam dates, once determined by the Faculty Board of Directors, will be announced separately in the Announcements section of our Faculty website.
Application Method:
* Students who wish to take a make-up exam during the Fall semester must submit their make-up exam application form (attached with a document proving their excuse) in person to our Faculty's Student Affairs Office by the close of business on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
* Applications submitted without completing the make-up exam application form and attaching a document proving their excuse will not be considered.
